Cartoonish houses for the video game I’m developing, Axolotl: La Leyenda del Sol. These houses are inspired by Mexican villages and built using materials that were common in Tenochtitlan, such as adobe and straw. I developed a unique style for the game, focusing on cartoonish designs with PBR textures that are not overly detailed but emphasize the silhouette of the models.
I focused on creating the houses in a modular way for maximum optimization, allowing them to share a single material. To generate color variations, I only need to change the albedo map, making it possible to create 16 different houses using just 4 models.
